About Us Afterburn Productions is owned and operated by husband and wife team Christian Rasmussen & Catherine Chao. In 2002, Christian & Catherine planned and coordinated the music and entertainment for their own wedding at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California. “We know what it is like to want professional quality service at a reasonable price.” Christian Rasmussen (Aka: DJ Christian, DJ Razz), is a 37-year-old Professional DJ/Producer living in Torrance, California. Christian has been involved in Music, Theater, and Entertainment since his childhood years. He has been arranging, remixing, and producing music for the last 25 years. Christian started Afterburn Productions in 1997, and has been DJing professionally for over 13 years !!! Christian's background also includes high levels of customer service, support, and management for many years with companies including Blue Cross of California, American Honda, and Xerox. Today, Christian’s fingers are on the pulse of Music and Technology. Mike Breul (Aka: DJ Mike B.). Mike is native to southern California. He has been very involved in music from early on, first with his record collection that he started at an unbelievably young age. Live music concerts was where Mike spent a lot of his weekends through high school. Realizing his love for music, Mike picked up DJing & music production as a hobby. After high school he attended music theory, piano and electronic music production courses to further his knowledge. Mike also worked for a well-known chain of music stores for over ten years, which furthered his knowledge of music. DJing professionally for 10 years now, Mike has made a name for himself in the Los Angeles club scene as well as the wedding industry. Along with his vast music knowledge and complete professionalism, Mike Breul can definitely make your event a success. Justin Nakasone (Aka: DJ Justin). DJ Justin started spinning music about 5 years ago after playing in a band and realizing how much he loves spinning music. He has done Fashion shows, Corporate events, Weddings, and kids parties. He plays top 40, disco, Hip-hop, Rock, and much more. He has a warm personality and a great sence of humor. He has a lot of patience with children which allows him to work well with kids. DJ Justin is the right DJ for your party. Raul Mora (Aka: DJ R. Mora). Raul Mora has been DJing since 1991. With over 1000 events under his belt, he is considered a seasoned Pro. His determination to please the crowd is what keeps Raul focused on performing at his best. Michelle has been a professional DJ & Karaoke Host in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Las Vegas for the last 6 years. She is willing to travel for any event. Michelle loves to have fun. She prides herself on picking the perfect song for every moment. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to make every event the perfect experience. Michelle is the perfect Dj because she understand every event is unique… and so is she. Kevin Chee (Aka: DJ Kevin). Kevin has been DJing professionally since 1997. Weddings and Private Parties are Kevin’s specialty, but with clients like KIIS FM and Albertsons… Kevin knows how to deliver great Customer Service & Satisfaction !!! Recently married, Kevin knows the importance of having a perfect day… and gives his all to ensure his clients have the same. Mathew Hornbeek (Aka: DJ Mat). DJ Mat has been a music and production enthusiast since his early childhood. His interest in the way entertainment professionals assemble inspiring events spurred his desire to DJ. His DJ career began at the age of 17 from small beginnings but with a great future. Within a year he became a well known local DJ personality & began playing at clubs and venues. DJ Mat has performed for many thousands at top venues throughout Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles counties. He has worked with live acts such as Goldfish, Electric Valentine, Ambrose, Sam Marquart, K.O., Bone Thugs N' Harmony, and many others. Mat believes what has contributed to his success thus far has been his consideration of everything happening at, and prior to, an event. If he can add even a little something to make the night that much more perfect, or go that much more smoothly, he will go out of his way to do so. Michael Zinkovitch (Aka: THE Event Planner). Michael is our special event coordinator and planner. Originally from Washington, DC, Michael has lived in Los Angeles for the past six years. Michael is a detail oriented professional that gets great pleasure in organizing and planning events. He is here to advise you on your event planning and to make sure things go smoothly the day of your event. The Doggies (Aka: THE MASCOTS). Zocko & Harlow are new additions to the Afterburn Family. Zocko was adopted in 2005 and Harlow in 2006. The Doggies help with the everyday tasks of running the business and take Christian for runs and walks to the doggie park every day.
