About Us Afterburn Productions is owned and operated by husband and wife team Christian Rasmussen & Catherine Chao. In 2002, Christian & Catherine planned and coordinated the music and entertainment for their own wedding at Saddlerock Ranch in Malibu, California. “We know what it is like to want professional quality service at a reasonable price.” Christian Rasmussen (Aka: DJ Christian, DJ Razz), is a 35-year-old Professional DJ/Producer living in Torrance, California. Christian has been involved in Music, Theater, and Entertainment since his childhood years. He has been arranging, remixing, and producing music for the last 17 years. Christian started Afterburn Productions in 1997, and has been DJing professionally for over 10 years !!! Christian's background also includes high levels of customer service, support, and management for many years with companies including Blue Cross of California, American Honda, and Xerox. Today, Christian’s fingers are on the pulse of Music and Technology. He has coordinated the entertainment and music for hundreds of Weddings, Parties, and Corporate Events ranging from 50 to 15,000 people. Mike Breul (Aka: DJ Mike B.). Mike is native to southern California. He has been very involved in music from early on, first with his record collection that he started at an unbelievably young age. Live music concerts was where Mike spent a lot of his weekends through high school. Realizing his love for music, Mike picked up DJing & music production as a hobby. After high school he attended music theory, piano and electronic music production courses to further his knowledge. Mike also worked for a well-known chain of music stores for over ten years, which furthered his knowledge of music. DJing professionally for 10 years now, Mike has made a name for himself in the Los Angeles club scene as well as the wedding industry. Along with his vast music knowledge and complete professionalism, Mike Breul can definitely make your event a success. Jason Jones (Aka: DJ Jason). Jason has been working as a Mobile Disc Jockey since 1998. Growing up with a musician father, Jason developed a passion for music and entertainment at a very early age. As a DJ, Jason has performed at over 500 events, from Holiday/Birthday Parties and School Dances, to his area of expertise in Weddings and Corporate events. Jason works extremely well with clients as a planner, facilitator, Master of Ceremonies, host, DJ and entertainer for all of his events. His attention to every detail at the event is unsurpassed. He also works extremely well with vendors and event staff to help bring the event together at showtime. Michelle Velasco (Aka: DJ Michelle). Michelle has been a professional DJ & Karaoke Host in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, San Francisco and Las Vegas for the last 6 years. She is willing to travel for any event. Michelle loves to have fun. She prides herself on picking the perfect song for every moment. She puts a lot of pressure on herself to make every event the perfect experience. Michelle is the perfect Dj because she understand every event is unique… and so is she. Kevin Chee (Aka: DJ Kevin). Kevin has been DJing professionally since 1997. Weddings and Private Parties are Kevin’s specialty, but with clients like KIIS FM and Albertsons… Kevin knows how to deliver great Customer Service & Satisfaction !!! Recently married, Kevin knows the importance of having a perfect day… and gives his all to ensure his clients have the same. Robert Brown (Aka: DJ Robbie). Originally from Austin, Texas, Rob has been working in the film and music industry in Los Angeles for the past six years. While working for various film producers, directors, and studio executives, Rob has been actively DJing as well. From private house parties to Hollywood movie premieres and weddings, Rob’s choice of high-energy dance music is sure to keep all crowds dancing for hours. Rob’s Progressive and Tribal sound, mixed with the latest dance and hip-hop hits, is certain to please. Raul Mora (Aka: DJ Raul). Raul Mora has been DJing since 1991. With over 1000 events under his belt, he is considered a seasoned Pro. His determination to please the crowd is what keeps Raul focused on performing at his best. Raul has a way of blending in with the crowd, and by the end of the night you are guaranteed to have a successful event and a new friend. His MC abilities and vast music knowledge ranging from classical to current day will impress all musical tastes. His ability to articulately speak both English and Spanish can come in handy for those events where you have a diverse guest list. Dennis Testa has been an MC/DJ for 10 years. He is originally from New Jersey and brings his electrifying energy to the west coast. Not only does he host private parties, he hosts shows for Nickelodeon, Fox Family, MTV and numerous TV commercials. Book Dennis to add fun and excitement to any wedding or party. Keith Erickson (Aka: DJ Keith). Keith Erickson, originally from St. Louis, Mo, moved to Hollywood, CA in the fall of 2004 to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. He is a multi-instrumentalist, although he is most noted for his diverse and inspired percussive abilities. In addition to being a DJ, Keith also plays in several bands, composes original music and teaches drum lessons. Keith has worked as a music coordinator and promoter for various clubs over the last 8 years and has worked hundreds of weddings and countless holiday and house parties. Keith is an awesome entertainer. He is a professional and takes pride in making every event as special and unique as possible. Keith is known for his ability to keep a party or reception organized and still manages to keep the dance floor packed. Michael Zinkovitch (Aka: THE Event Planner). Michael is our special event coordinator and planner. Originally from Washington, DC, Michael has lived in Los Angeles for the past six years. Michael is a detail oriented professional that gets great pleasure in organizing and planning events. He is here to advise you on your event planning and to make sure things go smoothly the day of your event. The Doggies (Aka: THE MASCOTS). Zocko & Harlow are new additions to the Afterburn Family. Zocko was adopted in 2005 and Harlow in 2006. The Doggies help with the everyday tasks of running the business and take Christian for runs and walks to the doggie park every day.
